New age problems of Tech Recruiting

As the times are changing, the form, shape, and definition of recruitment problems have also significantly changed. Today’s topic is going to be so interesting because this is a topic which many people are searching on the internet regarding recruitment.

In the recruitment industry, problems occur because of our mistakes. Right? As in recent age, every company is in growing status, and you can’t afford to make mistakes and if you do so your desired candidate will be working in some other company which is in competition with you.

Problem# 1 – Not using SEO for hiring the best:

I hope the word SEO is very familiar to everyone nowadays. But we forget to implement that in the recruitment.

(Note: This is just an example)

In the above image, you can see the keywords which are searched in the last 12 months and the number of users who have searched those keywords.

How you can use it?

Nowadays, more or less everyone has a smartphone and they are using Google to find a job. If your competitor companies are using the SEO, then they are benefitting because they are grabbing the right candidates. If you are not using this for your talent acquisition then your technical recruitment strategies are backdated because you are dealing with a new-age problem.

Problem# 2 – Interview Style – Nobody likes interrogations

This is such a big problem. Even a few years ago the interviews were like a nightmare to the candidates. If you agree with me then you have also faced it once in your lifetime. Anyways, if the candidate is afraid of giving an interview in front of you and your manager that means his/her joining your company is in big doubt.

In the IT industry, the best candidate is one who has innovative dreams. Right?

Then, make your interview as a conversation. Where the candidate can breathe and can share his/her thoughts with you. Can share with you his/her dreams of inventions. The candidate will be happy to join in your company because he/she knows that he/she will have his/her freedom here.

Problem# 3 – Messy & untidy career page:

With the advent of growing websites and the internet, people now judge any company by it’s “Websites”. They don’t have that much time to think that whether it’s a good company or bad. If they see boring, untidy and clumsy websites they will skip the website for sure. I hope we are doing the same. Lol.

Anyways, the same thing happens with the candidates as well when they start looking for their desired jobs. A few times ago I wrote an article regarding the “Millennials are obsessed with the brands” and your career page is the 1st branding step of the employer. If the career page is not elite then my friend you are far away from your goal.

“Treat your employees right, so they won’t use your Internet to search for a new job” – Mark Zuckerberg

I guess this quote is the perfect for concluding this article. Keep following our articles and, keep reading my articles and share your views.
